FactSet is looking for a talented Software Engineer to join our Research and Advisory group on Team Caffeine . Team Caffeine builds services and applications that enhance client experiences across the company with significant functionality, empowering users to customize and personalize their FactSet alerting workspace.
Some of the projects that this team work s on to achieve the ese goal s are:
- Alert management system that allows clients to setup notifications of important financial events
- Web Service for internal and external teams to manage and automate their alerting workflows
- Watchlist configuration tools
In this role you will:
- Work on variety of full stack technologies such as Vue.js, TypeScript , Node.js , and Graph QL
- Collaborate with our product team to identify and implement solutions that bring direct value to our clients as well as with your peers
- Partner with your peers and stakeholders to ensure software delivered is of the high best quality
- Learn and follow Agile Software Development principles
- Gain broader proficiency for the product and demonstrate ability to contribute to forward direction
- Develop relationship and collaborate with other teams at FactSet to build end-to-end alerting workflows
Additionally, as part of the FactSet Engineering community , over time you will find opportunities to have broad impact across the department. For example, you may become a member of our Web Guidance Group, Architecture Review Board , or contribute to other cross team initiatives.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field or equivalent experience
- 1 year of experience working professionally as a Software Developer building web applications or services
- Experience using JavaScript , HTML, CSS
- Ability to communicate effectively with peers within the organization
- Ability to contribute to code review feedback for other engineers and contribute to forward design ideas
Highly Desired Skills:
- Experience with TypeScript, Vue.js, Angular.js, REST, Graph QL , Node.js
- Experience with Scrum, Kanban or Agile software development in general
The budgeted amount range for this position in the State of Connecticut is $73,500 – $115,000.
